EEC Council in favor of more polished Eurasian Economic Union treaty
At the session members of the Council representing Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia made several decisions on trade and macroeconomics, customs and tariff regulations and transport, approved of the progress in fulfilling the calendar plan for working out documents for the sake of implementing the agreements that make up the Single Economic Space.
The Council also decided on further integration areas, in particular, the removal of barriers and other restrictions that hinder the mutual access of economic operators to the markets of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space member states.
Apart from that, the session of the EEC Council adopted a resolution on amending the regulation on procedures on enforcing phytosanitary quarantine control at the customs border of the Customs Union.
Members of the EEC Council also discussed several other organizational and routine matters concerning the Eurasian Economic Commission operation, BelTA reports.
A Belarusian delegation led by member of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission representing Belarus, Chairman of the Board of OAO Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Rumas took part in the session.
