Education Minister congratulates school graduates

The Minister congratulated the graduates, school students and teaching staff on this holiday and noted that fpr the last svereal years the government has been paying close attention to the development of secondary education. ?132, 733 students are finishing schools countrywide today?, Z. Tuimebayev informed. According to the Ministry?s data, 289, 963 students have finished the 9th grade this year.Over 2, 000 graduates are candidates for Altyn Belgi (gold medal). Last year this figure was 3, 360. The unified national test will take place from June 4 to June 10 and will be held in 5 basic subjects. 108, 848 students submitted their applications for participation in the test. 23, 885 students refused passing the test. The Minister also added that the total time of the testing was prolonged by half an hour. The ceremony of awarding school graduation certificates will take place on June 20.
