Economy Minister met with European Commission delegates

ASTANA. June 16. KAZINFORM Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov has held a meeting with the delegation of the European Commission headed by European Commission Directorate for Eastern Europe, the Southern Caucasus and Central Asian Republics Gunnar Wiegand today; Kazinform refers to the Ministry?s press-service.
During the meeting Minister of Economy and Budget Planning B. Sultanov informed the delegation of the economic situation in Kazakhstan, progress on the implementation of the joint action plan of the Kazakh Government, National Bank and Agency on Regulation of Financial Markets and Financial Organizations for 2009-2010.
The parties exchanged their views on the status of the State Program Path to Europe for 2009-2011.
In February, 2009 the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning and Ambassador of the European Commission in Kazakhstan reached an agreement that the European Commission program of cooperation will be also directed for the implementation of the State Program Path to Europe for 2009-2011.
During the meeting the parties also considered the issue on the work of the National Coordination Bureau.
