Economically developed states only able to host Asiad - Minister of Tourism and Sport

ASTANA. January 31. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Economically developed countries only can afford to hold the Asian Games, Minister of Tourism and Sport Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov has said it at a press conference in Astana today.
"There are 45 states in Asia and 4 of them only could organize the Asian Winter Games. These are the countries with a high level of economic development, for example, Japan, Korea and China. We are the fourth country to host the Games", the Minister noted.
According to him, the sports facilities of Asiad-2011 were highly praised by OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah and President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge who surveyed them today.
