Economic growth predicted at 2% in 2010 - Kazakh Economy Minister

ANA. February 1. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ In 2010 economic growth in Kazakhstan is projected at 2%. Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Minister Bakhyt Sultanov has said at the Government's sitting today.
According to Mr. Sultanov, the volume of industrial output is predicted to grow by 3.3%; oil production is expected to make 80 million tons. Inflation rate is estimated to be at the level of 6-8% with improved lower limit of 1.5 percentage points against the previous forecast indicators.
The Minister noted that the forecast was made on the basis of the current tendencies in the world commodity markets and Kazakh economic trends of 2009. The assessments of the international expert organizations were taken into account as well. For instance, the International Monetary Fund increased its forecast for global growth in 2010 to 3.9% due to revival of the economies in the developed countries.
