ECO reviewed coop of railway administrations

According to the press service of the company, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are the members of the ECO which was founded by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey. The organization is actively working to accelerate regional development. Much attention is paid to cooperation in the field of transport. The meeting discussed the issues of implementation of rail projects. In particular, the parties have discussed the possibility of extending "Istanbul - Almaty" container train route. The roundtable has also considered the creation of necessary conditions to activate growth of volume of shipments of "Bandar Abbas (Iran) - Kazakhstan - China" container train. The sides have noted the importance of the new railway line "Uzen - Bereket - Gorgan". It should be noted that the meeting agreed on a map of the ECO railway transit routes and adopted the appropriate report. In addition, the delegation of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" participated in the second meeting of the Transit Transport Coordination Council and the 4th International Conference themed "Recent advances in railway engineering".
