EC 645 T2 new copter presented in Astana

EC 645 T2 is the latest development of multifunctional military medium-lift helicopter for maximum flight duration, power and cargo capacity operating in the highlands and hot climate. EC 645 T2 versatility is based on structural strength, low operating costs and high reliability of the certified EC145. It is equipped with an optical system, a system of night vision, a laser device for distance measurement. It also has guided and unguided missiles and a heavy machine gun. Maximum permissible speed is 268 kilometers per hour, fand light range is 663 kilometers.

"Today, we are representing a completely new helicopter designed for the needs of Kazakh force structure. This type of transport is engineered based on EC 145, the assembly of which started last year. New EC 645 T2 is the following modification of its predecessor", said Karibai Ablezov, a commercial director of "Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering ", at the presentation event.

Previously, the machine was shown in Germany, France and the United States.

The сopter's production will be established in Germany and France. But it will be assembled in Kazakhstan. The first army aircrafts are scheduled for release in late 2014 and they will be used in the Kazakh Army.

"Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering" plant production capacity is amounting to 10-12 air units per year.
