EBRD to increase investments to Kazakhstan in 2011

ASTANA. October 19. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ The EBRD will allocate about EUR 600 mln for realization of projects in Kazakhstan in 2011. EBRD Director for Kazakhstan Enzo Quattrociocche has made it public at a briefing today.
"The Bank intends to increase investment to Central Asia. Besides, the Bank is intended to support the investments brought in the region, especially in those sectors which need our help", he said.
The Bank Director said that the investments volume to our country made up about EUR 2.8 bln during the last period.
The Bank also intends to continue rendering assistance to the financial sector of Kazakhstan. The EBRD will keep on working in the transport and environmental industries of Kazakhstan as well.
