Earhquake hits East Kazakhstan region

An earthquake was recorded today the territory of the East Kazakhstan region at around 08:29 am, Kazinform News Agency learned from the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research.

The epicenter of the quake was 48 kilometers away from the town of Zaissan in the East Kazakhstan region.
The estimated intensity (in points) in the region was as follows: 2 points near Zaissan.
No injuries or damages were reported.
In mid-February, an earthquake was registered in East Kazakhstan region. The epicenter of the quake was in the territory of the Russian Federation, 1225 kilometers northeast of Almaty.
