EAPC Security Forum allows to develop common platform for SCO, CSTO and NATO

KAZINFORM. /Narymbek Ismagulov/ "EAPC Security Forum will allow to develop a common platform uniting the tasks of the international and regional security organizations", Kazakh Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Head of Kazakhstan's representation to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev has said in Astana today.
According to Mr. Utembayev, the first half of the day was devoted to the situation in Afghanistan, issues of regional and energy security. The experts considered all joint actions in every direction and worked out common ideas, particularly on Afghanistan, struggle against drug trafficking and border security.
Speaking about Kazakhstan's participation in the number of security organization he noted that SCO, CSTO and NATO have common tasks that comply with their principles.
"Kazakhstan will continue cooperation with NATO in several new directions including the provision of information security, struggle against terrorism, emergency management", the diplomat noted.
