E Kazakhstan Governor outlines 2011 tasks

KZT 166 bln was allocated for the development of the region this year. The Governor defined that main efforts will be directed to the development of small and medium business, reduction of administrative barriers, and establishment of special economic zones of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Kurchatov cities and setting out of a special economic zone of the region on the basis of an industrial zone in the city of Semey. Implementation of the Business Road Map-2020 will be continued as well. The Governor urged to focus on implementation of memorandums and agreements on mutual cooperation, social responsibility of business which were signed with heads of large and medium enterprises. Special attention was paid to price hikes and price control. As stated there it is very important to settle the issue arising from the lack of farm products storage areas. B.Saparbayev charged to monitor pricing, to control food supply problems, develop maral breeding and beekeeping.

The gathered also discussed cultural, educational and healthcare issues.
