E-government formation history

In this connection the Kazinform Agency reminds the history of the E-government formation.

The Kazakhstan development Strategy 2030 defined main priorities of development of the communication and information industry. Necessity of creation of own competitive, independent and effective system of telecommunication services were defined in this program document.

The E-government concept was adopted at the Kazakh Government's session.

Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev told about topical development of the E-government in his regular Message to the Nation "New Kazakhstan in the New World" as of February 28, 2007, in which it was announced about striving for joining top 50 competitive countries of the world.

The E-government is a mechanism of functioning of the Government and the local bodies. It is aimed at improving of openness and transparency of the state bodies of executive power.
