E-commerce sales of railway ticket centre to be established in Astana

ASTANA. June 21. KAZINFORM - Implementation of a pilot project to establish a Center of electronic sales at the station in Astana is scheduled for autumn 2013, with annual sales of at least 450,000 e-tickets, the press service of "Passenger Transportation" informs. Electronic sales center at the railway station will be a self-service passenger room with installation of automated offices to provide a full range of related services.
These offices connected to the storefront will allow a passenger to find the necessary ticket and buy it, both in cash and non-cash payment by a credit card.
In the second phase of the project there is provision of possibility to pay with electronic money - e-Tenge, WebMoney, Yandex Money, and etc.
Tickets are printed in the form of planting coupon, a check.
"Potential of a computerized cash register will be 250 tickets per day. Carrying out a pilot project to establish a Center of electronic sales is to increase volume of e-commerce railway tickets ", says the press service.
