Dushanbe hosts XII Central Asia media conference

The conference focuses at the issues regarding the international standards in right for access to information in Central Asia, role of civil society and mass media in support of the right for access to information.

The participants are also discussing the situation on the media space of the region.

Vice Minister of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan Nuray Urazov took the floor. He told about the activity of the new Ministry in implementation of the e-Government, expansion of internet-space, transition to digital broadcasting and improvement of the Kazakhstan legislation in provision of free access to information.

In particular, the Vice Minister said that implementation of the e-Government showed practical realization of the citizens rights for free access to information.
