Due to Kazakhstan's efforts we could stabilize situation in country - Temir Sariyev

"The April 6-7 riots became a direct consequence of the people's will. In the following days the role of Kazakhstan in stabilization of Kyrgyzstan was great. Namely Kazakhstan as the OSCE presiding country expressed interest in early solution of the problem and proposed to guarantee safe departure of Kurmanbek Bakiyev from the republic in order to stabilize the situation. President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev have done huge work to solve this problem (stabilization of the situation - editor) quickly and efficiently", T. Sariyev noted.
"Therefore, I can say that we could stabilize the situation due to the efforts of Kazakhstan", he added.
He also emphasized that Kazakhstan provided humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan having allotted 12 thousand tons of diesel fuel.
