Draft concept of "Health of EurAsEC Nations" program approved

ANA. October 15. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ A draft concept of the 7th interstate program "Health of EurAsEC Nations" has been adopted at the sitting of the Healthcare Council under the EurAsEC Integration Committee in the Astana Rixos Hotel on Thursday.

According to Minister of Healthcare Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev, the concept will help improve the quality of medical aid, professionalism of the national medical personnel and after all increase efficiency of business contacts within the framework of the Community as well as promote strengthening of economic stability.

The interstate program implies coordination of the member states' policy in the sphere of healthcare including harmonization of the legal framework. Besides, the document will allow to deepen scientific cooperation, raise qualification of medical and pharmaceutical personnel.

The idea on development of "Health of EurAsEC Nations" program was proposed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in 2006.

Now the draft concept is to be submitted for consideration of the EurAsEC bodies.
