Donations for Laura Tagasheva collected at U.S. Kazakh Diaspora meeting

WASHINGTON. October 27. KAZINFORM Collecting of voluntary donations in support of young Kazakh citizen Laura Tagasheva has been held in the American capital within the framework of the friendly meeting for the Kazakh Diaspora under general title "The day of Kazakhstanis"; the press service of the Kazakh Embassy reports.

Laura Tagasheva, 28, worked in the United States as an interpreter for adopted children from Kazakhstan. She became a victim of an unknown offender, who broke her neck with a blow from behind on August 4, 2007. As a result Laura became disabled and needs expensive treatment.

As part of the meeting the Ata Meken ("Land of fathers") film was shown in the Carnegie Institute. Afterwards  the Kazakh Embassy in the USA held a buffet.

Ambassador Yerlan Idrissov and the Diaspora's authorities addressed to the Kazakhstanis, who live in the USA and called the compatriots for further close contact and mutual assistance with in the USA.
