Distance between China and Persian Gulf shortened by 1,200 km, Kazakh Leader

DUBAI. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan creates all conditions to attract foreign investors, builds up its transport and logistics structure," the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum in Dubai.
"We broadened our cooperation under the new industrial program with our partners such as the UAE, Iran, Turkey and Malaysia. The volume of their investments exceeds USD 3 bln. We realize above 15 promising projects worth USD 2,5 bln," the President noted. As stated there, above 10,000 km of highways and 2,500 km of railways were built and repaired to shorten the distance between China and Persian Gulf by 1,200 km. "We seek good neighborly relations with our neighbors. Our country is a home to a lot of nationalities living in peace and consent," Nazarbayev said.
