Differential stations for satellite navigation produced in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. August 15. KAZINFORM - Scientists and engineers of "National Center of Space Research and Technology" JSC, under the jurisdiction of Kazkosmos, have produced and handed over to a customer 18 differential stations (DS) which will form the basis of Kazakhstan's high-precision navigation system.
The project of high-precision navigation system's ground infrastructure creation is being implemented by "National Company" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary " JSC, which experts have taken for installation works the first batch of the new domestic DS.
The main objective of differential stations is to collect information of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and GPS. Today there are 10 DS, manufactured by the «Leica» Swiss company, in Akmola and Almaty regions.
In total, the high-precision navigation system of Kazakhstan, including the existing one, will join 60 differential stations.
