Development of probation service discussed in Astana (PHOTO)

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Deputy Chairman of the Penal System Committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan major general Meiram Ayubayev has met with representatives of the World Bank led by Amitabh Mukherjee in Astana today.
Development of probation service within the framework of the justice sector institutional strengthening project of the World Bank was in the focus of the meeting. Participants discussed the World Bank's assistance in terms of development of national model of probation service in the cities of Astana and Almaty as well as in Almaty region.
