Defense Ministries of Kazakhstan and France sign Cooperation Plan for 2014

ASTANA. December 18. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan has held a meeting between the Kazakh defense ministry troops with their French colleagues.

During the bilateral talks, the sides discussed prospects of Kazakh-French military partnership, the the press service of the Ministry informs.

Kazakh-French cooperation in the defense sector is one of the priorities in the bilateral relations.

"We are interested in further strengthening of the Kazakh-French military collaboration. I would like to thank our French colleagues for facilitating the Kazakh delegation's visit to France for participation in the international exhibition on aviation and space industry "Le Bourget". This event allowed us to become familiar with the latest models of aircraft and weapons", said the Colonel Adil Bekov, the Head of Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry.

In turn, the French side expressed appreciation to the Kazakh colleagues for offering the French defence companied to participate in the upcoming armaments and military equipment exhibition named "KADEX 2014" which will take place in Kazakhstan.

Following the bilateral negotiations the defense ministries representatives summed up the interaction in the current year and signed a cooperation plan for 2014.
