Defence Ministry and NATO consider partnership goals

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan Ministry of Defence and NATO had a working meeting in the city of Astana.
The round table discussed the objectives of partnership for 2014-2015, the press service of the Ministry informs. The meeting held in the framework of implementation of NATO program called "Planning and review process". The round table discussed preparations of the peacekeeping units of the armed forces of Kazakhstan for participation in the trainings, exercises, and operations of the UN peacekeeping programs. New cycle of NATO program for 2014-2015 includes training and equipping the peace-keepers based on the UN and NATO standards.
The NATO representatives also had consultations with the staff of the Border Guard Service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
