MINSK. January 19. KAZINFORM The possibility of delivering Kazakh oil to Belarus will be decided in 2012, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov told a press conference on 18 January.

According to BelTA, the diplomat said: "We are moving towards the decision. Negotiations have been underway since 1994. At present the Kazakh side is considering a draft agreement on cooperation in oil deliveries". Kazakhstan expects the matter to be resolved this year when a Belarusian delegation visits Kazakhstan.
Anatoly Smirnov also believes that oil transit from Kazakhstan via Belarus will increase. At present it is close to 8 million tonnes. "These issues should be addressed. The Single Economic Space has been created to enable unified duties and unified tariffs," said the Ambassador.
