Abusagit Zhirenchin (1913-1975) – Soviet-Kazakh literary scholar, writer, journalist, founder of Kazakh book science, one of the researchers of the creative work of Abai, candidate of historic sciences, member of the USSR Geographic Union, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.

Born in Semipalatinsk region, he graduated from the Central Asian University, Tashkent, Gorky Literary Institute.

Aben Satybaldiyev (1914-1974) – writer, translator, scholar, candidate of philology.

Born in Taraz city, he graduated from the Kazakh State University.

In 1939 and 1962, he was the editor-in-chief of Kazakh adebiety newspaper. In 1968-1974, he worked as the senior researcher of the Institute of Linguistics of the Kazakh SSR Academy of Sciences, first deputy editor-in-chief of the Kazakh Soviet Encyclopedia.

Shakir Ibrayev (1950) – scholar-folklorist, PhD, professor, academician of the Academy of Social Sciences of Kazakhstan.

Born in Kzyl-Orda region, he graduated from the Kirov Kazakh State University.

He authored a number of books, including the Book of Korkut, Kazakh epic, the World of Epic, and the Poetics of the Oguz Heroic Epic.
