Death toll in road tragedy in Karaganda oblast rises to 11 people, 7 injured - Emergencies Department
As the Regional Emergencies Department informs, the accident occurred in the territory of Shet municipality at the 929 km of Almaty-Yekaterinburg highway. "Four vehicles - Mercedes intercity bus with 16 passengers on board, Setra bus with 24 passengers inside and two KamAZ trucks - smashed into each other. Both buses and one truck burnt as a result", a press release reads.
According to the Emergencies Department, 11 people died in the accident: driver of one of the trucks, driver and nine passengers of Mercedes bus. "The dead passengers are the nationals of the Republic of Uzbekistan, they are identified now", it says.
Besides, seven passengers of Mercedes bus were taken into a hospital of Aksu-Ayuly village. All of them are the nationals of Uzbekistan.
The driver and the passengers of Setra bus as well as the driver and a passenger of the second KamAZ were not injured.
