Death toll in China's heavy rains exceeds 100 people

BEIJING. July 25. KAZINFORM The death toll in Chinese floods, caused by worst heavy rains in six decades, has exceeded 110 people, while 47 more considered to be missing, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday., according to RIA Novosti.

The agency said citing the Ministry of Civil Administration that since July 20 torrential rains swept 22 provinces of China and are unlikely to stop in the next three days.
In all, nine million people were affected by the rains and subsequent floods, while 1.18 million were evacuated from their houses.
As of now the natural disaster destroyed 54,000 living houses and 150,000 facilities , also bringing enormous damage to agriculture in the affected areas, the agency added.
