Days of Almaty Culture held in Korean city of Taegu

Almaty Mayor Akhmedzhan Yessimov, scientists, representatives of education, culture and art were among the delegation that arrived in Taegu.

Almaty Mayor Akhmedzhan Yesimov and Taegu Mayor Kim Bum-Il took part in the opening ceremony.

Almaty Mayor noted in his speech that the partnership between the countries was steadily developing. At the time of today there are more than 300 joint enterprises in Kazakhstan with Korean funds involved. Twin-city Taegu has become the best partner to Almaty in the sphere of economy, business, healthcare and culture during 20 year span of time of the partnership.

Taegu Mayor, in turn, expressed confidence that the visit of the delegation from Almaty would help develop the partnership between the countries. 'The visit is a great event for our countries and cities. One of the achievements has become the establishment of the Association of friendship between Kazakhstan and Korea', Mr. Kim Bum-Il noted.
