DAAD alumni held meeting in Almaty

ALMATY. October 2. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ A meeting of alumni of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is taking place in Almaty at the Kazakh-German University today.
Over 20 alumni from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Astana and Almaty take part in the meeting. A Seminar titled "Kazakh-German Economic Cooperation -Experience and Prospects" is held for alumni of economic, political and legal fields of DAAD program, Open Society Institute joint program and "Bolashak" international scholarship within the event.
The DAAD started functioning in Kazakhstan 18 years ago. About three thousand students, professors and scientists have studied and held researches in Germany within the program during this time. Dozens on German scientists and educators worked in Kazakhstani higher educational institutions.
