D. Akhmetov familiarized with progress of biggest project of industrial development program in E Kazakhstan region

Head of the Board of the Company Oleg Novachuk told about the progress in implementation of the biggest project of the Industrialization Map, the press service of the company informed.

Construction works are held according to schedule at the excavating plant called Aktogai. Presently, the equipment is being supplied. The estimated number of workers of the company for the operation period will be about 1500 people. Aktogai is the largest excavation plant in East Kazakhstan region. The operating period of the excavation plant will exceed 50 years.

The estimated funds for the project total about 2.3 bln US dollars. This is one of the biggest investment projects of the region. This project is included into the State Program on Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development and is the biggest project of the company. The launch of the company's two biggest projects will allow to increase the volume of production of cathode copper by more than 50%.

The main volume of construction works is done by Kazakhstani companies. The total number of Kazakhstanis involved in implementation of the project is more than 1000 people including the residents of nearby villages.
