Customs Union, Vietnam to create free trade zone: President

Vietnamese leader Truong Tan Sang told a Monday briefing after the meeting with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"We have just completed our talks with the President of Kazakhstan in the spirit of trust and mutual understanding.  We have informed each other of the state of socioeconomic development of each country and assessed 20 years of Kazakhstan and Vietnam's partnership. In addition, we have exchanged views and discussed further measures on the development of bilateral cooperation. We have reiterated our wish to bring our cooperation to a brand new level," Truong Tan Sang said.

The president of Vietnam also stressed his country was happy with Kazakhstan's achievements, and high level of its development.

'We have also debated and agreed on the necessity of creating a free trade zone between the Customs Union and Vietnam," Truong Tan Sang added.
