Customs Union leaders agree to meet more often

MOSCOW. December 20. KAZINFORM The Customs Union leaders agreed to meet several times a year in the capitals of the members states, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev told media after the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow on 19 December.

"We have agreed to hold meetings in our capitals several times a year and explain out people the advantages of the Eurasian Economic Union," Mr Nazarbayev said.

In his words, the future union will be equal and voluntary, taking into account the interests of its participants. "We are determined to make this union attractive for other states," the President of Kazakhstan stressed, BelTA informs.

Mr Nazarbayev stated that cooperation between Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan enhances competitive ability of the three countries. "The future Eurasian union is a response to all present-day challenges and threats," he said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also said that 52 more documents are to be signed in the future in addition to 17 agreements which are already valid in the Single Economic Space.
