Current composition of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is not aimed at withdrawal from CIS - A.Chebotarev
"We know that in the Verkhovna Rada has registered since March 2 draft resolutions on Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS. One of the authors is a well-known Mr. Tarasyuk, former Foreign Minister of Ukraine under President Yushchenko. These two bills were not approved in the relevant committees of Parliament. Literally, on June 16 Mr. Tarasyuk insisted on bringing the bill in the agenda of the plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada. Thus, among 450 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, 134 voted for the inclusion of the document in the agenda. The quorum for decision is 226. A large number of MPs who voted against, abstained or did not participate, belong to the ruling factions. Therefore, we can say that the current composition of the Verkhovna Rada is not aimed at withdrawal from CIS", said A.Chebotarev. A.Chebotarev also noted that the Ukrainian side takes sufficiently active part in the activities carried out under the Commonwealth. In May-June 2014 representatives of the Ukraine attended 13 events among 25.
