Cultural events to close the Year of Korea in Kazakhstan held in Almaty

ALMATY. October 21. KAZINFORM /Berik Bekmurzayev/ As earlier reported, as part of "2010-2011 Kazakhstan-Korea Year" exchange project, a variety of cultural programs to promote Korean culture have been held in Astana and Almaty cities since May 2011. The closing ceremony of the Year of Korea in Kazakhstan was held in Almaty on October 20.
The closing ceremony program included traditional performances by Korean dance troupes and orchestras, a gala concert, and a fashion show to mark the 20th anniversary of Almaty's role as sister-city of Korea's city of Daegu.
The 2010-2011 Kazakhstan-Korea Year exchange project is designed to expand bilateral exchanges in all sectors, including politics, the economy, culture and human resources.
