CU sales increased by 40%, Glaziyev

ALMATY. September 23. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has met today with heads of CU delegations to discuss the outcomes of the CIS Economic Council meeting, 55th sitting of the EurAsEC integration committee and 31st meeting of the Customs Union held today in Almaty.

Russia's 1st Deputy Chairman of the Government Igor Shuvalov, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Rumas and 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev, EurAsEC secretary general Tair Mansurov and Customs Union executive secretary Sergey Glaziyev took part in it.

Those meetings focused on the forms of CIS countries' economic cooperation and mutual trade. The mutual trade document should be prepared for the meeting of heads of government set for October 17 in Saint Petersburg. Issues of intra-CIS multilateral cooperation were put forward too, Russia's 1st Deputy Chairman of the Government Igor Shuvalov told.

According to Glaziyev, the Customs Union gives real results. Mutual trade tends to grow, the sales between the CU member countries increased by 40%. We could observe close economic integration of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
