CU of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus to function since July 6, 2010 - D. Medvedev

ASTANA. July 5. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus starts functioning since July 6, President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said taking the floor after the EurAsEC Interstate Council's sitting in Astana today.
"We have held a sitting of the CU supreme body. A statement on enactment of the Customs Code has been signed. In Russia and Kazakhstan it entered into force on July 1 while in Belarus it will enter into force on July 6", Dmitry Medvedev noted.
"Several international agreements regulating legal and financial aspects of the CU activity have been concluded", the Russian President added.
Along with this, the Russian Leader stressed there was huge work to do in future.
"Taking into consideration importance of this matter I am confident we will reach a consensus on all aspects", D. Medvedev resumed.
