CU members reached consensus on problematic issues regarding Single Economic Space formation: V.Putin

KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ "Today during a difficult debate we managed to reach direct agreed decisions on problematic issues of the formation of the Single Economic Space", Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said today in Moscow upon the results of the talks on formation of the Single Economic Space.

"Today our countries face similar problems, regarding modernization and innovative development of economies, their diversification and increasing of people's welfare. Establishment of the Single Economic Space is a step toward the modern open economy that is steadier to sharp fluctuations of the world markets", the Russian Premier said.

He also noted that together with the Belarusian and Kazakh partners they decided to accelerate the preparation process for launching the Single Economic Space and form necessary legal and regulatory framework by January 1, 2011 instead of the two-stage term planned earlier.

The Russian Prime Minister said that there were 17 agreements on the negotiating table. Most of them have already been agreed or are at the high level of readiness. The rest of the documents are under consideration.
