CU establishment is breakthrough in implementation of President N.Nazarbayev's integration initiatives - Tokayev

"The Customs Union establishment is a breakthrough in implementation of integration initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. At present it is the first interstate institution with its own supranational body, legal basis and clear economic priorities. Hence legislative provision of the Customs Union is one of the most important issues; its discussion is on the agenda of the current session of the parliamentary group on cooperation".

He noted that today Moscow will host the EurAsEC Interstate Council, where a package of documents on the Single Economic Space formation is planned to be signed.

"I am sure that this union which marks new stage of integration of our states will work for benefit of our peoples. The Kazakh Senate is ready to take into consideration a package of agreements connected with the Single Economic Space activity. I think that there would be no problem on their ratification", he added.
