CSTO plans institute of partnership in military and economic cooperation

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The CSTO plans to develop an institute of partnership in military and economic cooperation. The corresponding draft decision of the Collective Security Council was considered at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow on 22 January, BelTA learnt from CSTO Spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.
Since the chairmanship in the CSTO passed to Tajikistan in 2015, Tajikistan's plenipotentiary Badriddin Mirzoyev was elected Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council, BelTA reports.
The meeting also considered draft decisions of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council to strengthen the role of military educational establishments and scientific organizations in the development of the CSTO military constituent and measures to improve the training of the military personnel, coordination of the educational and scientific activity of the defense ministries of the CSTO member states. The participants of the meeting decided to submit the documents on the abovementioned issues for the interstate coordination.
