CSTO Permanent Council discussed draft program to arm collective rapid response forces

MINSK. September 6. KAZINFORM A draft interstate program meant to equip the collective rapid response forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization with modern weaponry, military and special hardware has been discussed at a session of the CSTO Permanent Council. The session took place in Moscow on 5 September.

It was chaired by representative of Belarus Oleg Ivanov, CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told.

According to BelTA, the session also tabled a draft resolution on tasks and operational procedures of the system for clandestine control over the CSTO collective security forces and means. It was decided to forward the documents to the CSTO member states for intrastate approval.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordiuzha took part in the session.
