CSTO parliamentarians adopted resolutions for oncoming OSCE PA's session

Summarizing the results of the session Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolay Bodyuzha said the meeting was quite constructive, all remarks made by the heads of the delegations were accepted and three resolutions were fully coordinated. Among them are the resolution on prevention of xenophobia, glorification of nazism and review of the Great Patriotic War history; the resolution on responsibility of the CSTO countries in ensuring global energy security and the resolution on waiving the conflicts and forced methods of disputes settlement.
According to Bodyuzha, two more resolutions will be developed in the nearest outlook. They regard the activity of the OSCE and the issues connected with the necessity of activation of interaction of regional structures in the solution of contemporary problems. "The draft documents will be completed and adapted to modern conditions for their submission to the OSCE PA", the CSTO Sec Gen said.
As Kazakh Senator Akhan Bizhanov noted, Kazakhstan as well as its partners faced a number of large-scale problems within the OSCE chairmanship. Currently the country works out a number of issues regarding solution of the Eurasian continent's problems.
The issue of holding the OSCE summit in Astana is of no less importance, the Senator said. He reminded that several European countries had already supported this initiative. "The agenda of the summit will include the issues on interaction of Central Asia, Russia and other states with Europe. Thus, it will concern solution of many topical issues in CA and our CIS countries in order to develop further cooperation and solution of many problems on the OSCE space", he stressed.
