CSTO, OSCE to discuss measures against cross-border threats

MOSCOW. November 2. KAZINFORM Measures against cross-border threats will be discussed at the meeting between CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier in Moscow on 7 November, BelTA learnt from CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.
The parties are also expected to consider issues related to the fight against terrorism and extremism, ensuring stability and security, prevention of conflicts and their regulation in the Euro-Asian region, the situation in Afghanistan and threats in the context of the withdrawal of the International Security Assistance Force troops in 2014.
Besides, the parties will talk over the preparations for the 20th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council which is due in Kyiv on 5-6 December, BelTA reports.
Lamberto Zannier attended twice the meetings of the CSTO Permanent Council in 2011 and 2012.
