CSTO collective security strategy in development

MOSCOW. December 5. KAZINFORM The Collective Security Treaty Organization is working out a collective security strategy. The draft document is discussed at the session of the working group in charge of preparing conceptual, strategic documents of the Organization. The session is taking place in Moscow on 4-5 December, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.
The draft strategy is being developed in line with the relevant resolution of the CSTO Collective Security Council. The document is meant to outline prospects for the Organization's future development, earmark priorities of joint work to enhance the CSTO potential, and raise the Organization's international authority.
Representatives of the State Secretariat of the Security Council, the Foreign Ministry, and the Embassy of Belarus in Russia are taking part in the session on behalf of Belarus, BelTA reports.
