CSIS sponsors roundtable discussion on Kazakhstan's priorities for OSCE Chairmanship in 2010

HINGTON.  September 5. KAZINFORM Ambassador Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the OSCE will speak before a roundtable discussion at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC on September 10, 2009, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Traveling with the Ambassador is an official delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan who are coming to Washington, DC to participate in an OSCE Seminar hosted by the U.S. Helsinki Commission and to have high-level meetings with U.S. officials.  

The roundtable Kazakhstan's Priorities for the OSCE Chairmanship is part of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Institute for New Democracies (CSIS-IND) initiative concerning Kazakhstan's 2010 OSCE Chairmanship and will include Julie Finley, Former U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE; Edward Chow, Senior Fellow, Energy and National Security Program, CSIS; and Jon Chicky, National Defense University.  

Opening remarks will be given by Janusz Bugajki, Director, New European Democracies Project and Senior Fellow, Europe Program for CSIS.  

The roundtable will be held in the B1 Floor Conference Room at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, 1800 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006, Special Issue No 23 of the Kazakhstan Embassy in the USA reads.
