Crude oil output at Kashagan minefield to be started within end of 2012 - Sauat Mynbayev

ATYRAU. June 18. KAZINFORM /Andrey Sokolov/ Crude oil output at the Kashagan minefield is to be started not later than the end of 2012. Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev has said it at a sitting with heads of oil producing companies in Atyrau oblast.
"There were problems on hook-up and commissioning. But we came to an understanding with the consortium participants. Hence there will not be a time displacement of the experimental work at the Kashagan", S.Mynbayev said.
According to him, at the first stage the oil extraction at the Kashagan minefield will make up 370,000 barrels per day.
