Crucial to strengthen coop within SCO - Kazakh PM

BEIJING. October 14. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ With the world thrown into recession, the global challenges and threats have come to the fore, and we can counter them by the joint efforts of all SCO member-states. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced this at the session of the SCO Prime Ministers' Council.

As the Kazakh Premier noted, the global challenges are connected with international terrorism, cross-border organized crime, drug trafficking, illegal migration, climate change.
K.Massimov emphasized that today the most important thing us to set potential points of coincidence within the framework of the SCO, which will allow the state to move forward. "Our agenda is determined by the financial, energy, food and environmental crises, the consequences of which all the countries faced", the Head of the Government emphasized.
"It is necessary to work on strengthening cooperation within the framework of the SCO, help our economies to overcome consequences of this global crisis and come out of crisis stronger", the Prime Minister noted.
