As the experience of the developed countries shows, to eradicate corruption completely is impossible. At the same time, to maximize the narrowing of the scope of corruption factors is quite possible and feasible. Therefore the aim of fighting corruption should be the creation of a permanent system that would effectively suppress and aggressively limit all its manifestations, Kairat Mami believes.

The Senate Speaker says that today the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures is mainly measured by quantitative indicators. This is the reason why the criminal law measures promoting the criminalization of society and reduction of immunity to this dangerous social disease are becoming more dominant. According to statistics, only for the last few years tens of thousands of people in our country were brought to various types of liability for corruption offenses. As a result, there can be a wrong opinion on the extent of corruption in Kazakhstan, while the level of combating corruption in Kazakhstan, as a whole, is in line with international requirements and standards.
