Crucial to develop Kazakhstan's tourism potential - KITF 2011

ALMATY. April 20. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Kazakhstan has an attractive tourist image that should be developed. Chairman of the Committee for Industry and Sports Karlygash Kaken said it at a press conference devoted to the opening of KITF 2011 international exhibition in Almaty.
According to her, tourism potential of Kazakhstan is sufficient, "we are called a new trend in world tourism, but to achieve any real economic performance of this industry, we must work hard and invest big funds in construction of facilities."
Development of tourism is envisaged in the state program of accelerated industrial innovative development. In this aspect, there appear new tourist centers in Kazakhstan. They are 'Zhana Ile' in Almaty region, 'Burabai' in Akmola region, 'Kenderli' in Mangystau.
Tourist cluster is also developed along the transport corridor "Western Europe-Western China". This highway resembles the Great Silk Road.
