Crucial to conduct complete diagnostic assessment of Kazakh large banks ? IMF experts

ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) visited Kazakhstan on May 5-15 for holding consultations. The mission analyzed development of the situation in the economy and financial sector and discussed the economic policy conducted in the crisis period with the Government; Kazinform reports.
The IMF experts note that the measures on increase of funds reservation level (provisions formation) by large banks ensure better understanding of the financial situation of these establishments.
In the face of economic growth decline further deterioration in asset quality is unavoidable, and in this connection it is necessary to conduct a complete diagnostic assessment of large banks.
