Creation of Customs Union with Belarus and Russia – breakthrough of our integration initiatives – President

ASTANA. January 29. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Creation of the Customs Union with Belarus and Russia, which came into force as of January 1, 2010, is already a breakthrough of all our integration initiatives; the Head of the State said it today in his annual address to the nation at the joint session of the Kazakh Parliament.
"Kazakhstan is active participant of the integration processes in CIS. Creation of the Customs Union with Russia and Belarus is already a breakthrough of all our integration initiatives", - N. Nazarbayev stated.
The President reminded that the formation of the Single Economic Space scheduled for January 1, 2012 will be the next stage of integration for the three countries. This is the higher level of integration to ensure removal of customs barriers and free movement for stock and labor force.
