Court hearing on Kazakh diplomat accused of hijacking attempt set for mid June, MFA

ASTANA. May 16. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ "The next court hearing on Kazakh diplomat Valery Tolmachev, accused of attempting to hijack the plane in Europe, is set for mid June," Kazakh MFA's press secretary Iliyas Omarov told a briefing.
"The court hearing took place on May 13. A judge and a court expert in psychiatry were appointed."
As earlier reported, Tolmashev, an adviser to Kazakhstan's delegation at UNESCO, tried to hijack a Paris-Rome flight and divert the plane to Libya's capital Tripoli.
